Cruise vessel lay-up

Managing Now to Prepare for Reactivation

The scale of cruise vessel lay-ups is a new phenomenon for the industry, and owners face tough decisions as to what type of lay-up, and where, is appropriate for each vessel.

The type of lay-up, hot, warm or cold will depend on the vessel and the location. However, vessels will come back into service. Technical challenges are likely to be minimal in short-term hot lay-up but increase the longer the ship is out of action.

Join Wärtsilä and DNV GL as we look at how to keep machinery and equipment in optimal working order to enable speedy reactivation, and what measures can be taken to tighten operational costs during lay-up.

Topics include

  • Lay-up overview with guest panellist from DNV GL
  • Propulsion Systems
  • Ship automation
  • Power generation
  • There will also be a Q&A section with specialists on hand to answer questions
